There's a pdf document containing the basic r*n info for you to download here. You can also read a summary of the information currently available below (you'll of course receive a full programme when you register on the Friday). Please make sure that you have sorted out your accommodation before arriving in Munich!

Friday, 25 September:

Registration begins at 17:00 at “Namenlos”, located at Fallmerayerstrasse 28 (take the subway line U2 to Hohenzollernplatz). Your first of three r*ns will start here at 18:00. Afterwards, there'll be a traditional Munich Hash circle around 20:00 (i.e. it'll be lengthy) followed by a meal back at Namenlos at 21:00.

Saturday, 26 September:

What: Hash r*n in the lovely Bavarian countryside, maybe a quick dip in a lake if you're so inclined, lunch, circle, then back to the city for the Oktoberfest. Tables are reserved in the Armbrustschützenzelt.

Take the S-Bahn line S5, direction Herrsching, to Steinebach (Wörthsee). Your best option to be on time is to take the S5 that leaves the Hauptbahnhof (main station) at 9:07am, arriving in Steinebach at 9:46am. See below for ticket information.

R*n Details: The R*n will start at 10:00 from the station/Park and Ride car park. Lunch and the circle will take place there around 13:00.

We’ll leave Steinebach at 15:13, arriving at Hackerbrücke 15:52 and then walk to the Wiesn/Oktoberfest site.

16:45 PARTY ON IN at the Armbrustschützenzelt!

There are lockers for bags at the Oktoberfest grounds. However they are not near the Hash tent. The only option whilst staying with the hash is to leave your bag in the beer van overnight and pick up at the Sunday hash. Otherwise, travel light.

Sunday, 27 September:

What: R*n/walk/stagger through Munich, food, drink and circle. In years past, there has always been a group that heads back to the fest and they always seem to get into a tent. So, if Saturday wasn't enough, you can head back on Sunday. Please note that a Sunday visit is NOT included in the price of registration.

R*n Details: 11:00: R*n starts – Maximiliansanlagen park (nearest MVV stop: U4/U5 Max-Weber-Platz). 13:00: Food and circle. 15:00: Two options: follow our lovely helpful hasher back to the Wiesn and go on all those rides missed out on day before, or go to a pub...

What your registration fee includes:

Friday night: Dinner in the fine Bavarian restaurant complete with beer (we buy some kegs, once those are gone it's a cash bar).

Saturday afternoon: Tasty lunch after the run.

Saturday night: Admission to the tent includes 2 LITERS of Munich's finest beer, and one meal voucher, good for 1/2 a roasted chicken or the equivalent.

Sunday afternoon: Another tasty lunch.

Beer, beer, and yet more beer at all three circles!

Getting around Munich:

If arriving or leaving via the airport on Friday and/or Sunday, you should buy yourself a day pass (Tageskarte), either a single or a partner ticket if you’re not travelling alone, for the entire network (Gesamtnetz). The day ticket for one person costs €10. A partner day ticket (Partner-Tageskarte Gesamtnetz) for up to 5 people costs €18. This will allow you to travel to and from the airport and anywhere within Munich that day.

If you're arriving or leaving via the Hauptbahnhof on Friday and/or Sunday, you should buy a day pass for only the Innenraum (inner district).

On Saturday, we'll all be buying day passes to get out to the r*n. To get to Steinebach and back you will need a day ticket for the entire public transport network (MVV Tageskarte Gesamtnetz – prices mentioned above). Make friends and travel cheaper using the partner day ticket!

The pricing scheme of the Munich transport system can be baffling. If you're feeling confused have a look at the MVV website.
