Oktoberfest 2010!!! 24th-26th September
What is it? An exciting, action-packed weekend of hashing, beer, oblivion, regret, beer, Germans, beer, music, food and possibly some beer. If you've ever been, you know what happens. If you don't, here's what goes down in broad strokes: Friday: Register, r*n through the city, circle, then have dinner at a Bavarian-ish restaurant. We buy some kegs, & once they’re gone it’s a cash bar. (Note: Bavaria is a strange country located very close to Germany. They eat sausages and stuff.) Saturday: Head out to the countryside for a lovely r*n through the, um, countryside, then lunch and a circle. After this, we stumble back to Munich for the Oktoberfest - the biggest, craziest piss-up on the planet! Beer, oom-pah music, guys in leather pants, girls in pretty dresses, competitive Italians: big fun. Tent admission includes 2 LITRES of Munich's finest golden Oktoberfest beer, and a voucher for your dinner. Sunday: Hangover r*n, lunch, circle. Optional (and own expense) return to the Wiesn.
We're working tirelessly to sort out all of the details (precise locations, hares, etc.). The Details page will give you more information for 2010 once available. Registration usually begins in March. If you'd like to be notified when registration opens, then sign up to our Oktoberfest mailing list. Accommodation: Note that the price for the weekend does not include accommodation (it couldn't possibly). If you’re planning to come, then you should BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION NOW! For ideas on places to stay, check out the Oktoberfest crash space page.
